Gastronomy

In our winery and vineyards we want to welcome as our guests pilgrims, people of good will, friends, and all the wine lovers with whom we wish, in a friendly atmosphere, to enjoy the scenery, Bistrica basilica vista, wine and genuine Zagorje region culinary delights: roasted turkey with homemade dumplings, roast goose, or duck, homemade ham, bacon, salami and venison salami, and other wild game meals, sausages, home made bread, all kinds of strudel, especially Zagorje Strudel (“strukle”) with cheese following our grandmother’s Bara recipe. Let us also mention broiled dishes and grilled dishes, all kinds of home made plum brandy, some more than 20 years old. Among other things, we conduct professional and authorized tastings, organize festive lunches and dinners, dinner parties, banquets and catering, teambuilding, receive study and religious groups with the possibility to organize day-trips, accompanied by live music. Many will thus complete that elevated sense of respect when they pause at the foot of the Basilica of the Mother of God in Bistrica, where all the strength and timeless beauty of the building is comprised in a single view and the spirit of encouragement is captured radiating from within. Calmness and warmth carry anyone who finds himself before the holy statue of the Virgin Mary, and strengthens the hope which grows by each step along the cobblestone path leading to the top of Calvary. This feeling in us, who were born here, is even more intensive. It gives us strength and reminds us of the responsibility that lies with us to justify all that through our work and the quality of products and services we offer. We are liable to all those who come to us to do our best and try hard that each new visit be better and more fulfilled from the previous one. Therefore, we strive to have a superior offer and that in the winery everyone can hear a good word, resounding song and echoes of genuine laughter. For us it is most important that each of our guests feels like coming to an old friend.
